We have been growing an amazing patch of weeds this summer. They are flourishing despite the lack of rain or nourishment of any kind. I struggle with the lack of beauty in our yard, but I know it will come eventually. However, the other day, I noticed a few bright spots poking up in the midst of all the ugly weeds:
OKAY–so I know these are just weeds, too, but I love them! They made my day.

Sunflowers weeds???? We actually planted them in our garden. But, we don’t have any blooming ones yet. They aren’t even that tall. I don’t know if we will get anything in our garden. But it is nice to have a little touch of beauty in amidst the weeds and dirt.

I planted sunflowers too in my garden. They are taking their time to grow though and we don’t have any flowers like yours. Pretty!

That reminds me of my childhood. We always had a few sunflowers amid the forest of weeds (ours were bad, over my head). I’m glad you shared!

I don’t think that those can be considered weeds. They are flowers growing in their natural habitat. Go with that!

You could compete for the tallest sunflower! They look really pretty even with the weeds around them.

Not fair! How come I don’t have any of those. Just stupid ole thorny weeds.
